HEART'S EASE
Somehow I feel
Hearts Ease
Today.
I know Not
Whence
It Came.
But Somehow
I felt it
just as I Spake
JESUS' Name.
If Jesus had to
Pray, What about
Me?
"Sweet Hour of
Prayer, Sweet Hour
Of Prayer that
Calms Me from
All thoughts of Care.
Sweet Hour of
Prayer!"
REASSURANCE
My Heart is singing
Today,
For the king Over All
Reigns there.
My heart is singing
Today...
For it knows
The True Meaning
Of Prayer.
My troubles, Uncertainties
And dreads
Are All Washed
Away in
Loves Wide Sea...
For I know that
Above the heavy storms,
My Father Observeth
Me.
My heart is singing
Today!
This is All
That I need
To know ~
Just that He Watches,
That He Cares ~ ~
And Will not let
The Waters
Overflow.

LORD, BLESS THIS DAY
Lord, Bless This Day
Which THOU
Hast Made.
Be it Sunlit
Or Cloud ~ Filled
Let Us Never
Be Afraid.
Let Us just Turn
It All
Over To THEE,
And thus
Find Ourselves
Radiant, fulfilled
Happy and
Carefree.
JANAUARY 23 1983
I HAVE A CHEERFUL HEART
If Your Heart You
Set at a Cheerful
Pace
It Will All of Life's
Pain and doubt
Erase.
A SUNRISE
Faith tells Us
What Our Next
Step
Should be
When All is
Dark.
During sorrowful
Days and Ways
Faith teaches Us
To Listen
For The Sweet Carefree
Song
Of The Meadowlark.
Faith Teaches Us
To Look Up
And join
The Blithe Song
Of Heavenly Praise
And Know that
There Will Come
A Sunrise
And Better Days.
Faith tells Us
What Our
Next Step
Should be
When All
Is Dark.
During sorrowful
Days and Ways
Faith teaches Us
To Listen
For The glad
Song
Of The Meadowlark.
WILDWOOD, HOUSE OF OUR CHILDHOOD
Wildwood Place
Was the Home
Of Our Childhood.
O Wildwood,
Dear Wildwood.
It Was a Place
That to tell
About
Would take
Forever
And a Day.
It Was just
That Way...
That Special
Way!
I could tell about
The Trees alone
On and On.
Each One Was like
A Friend ~
Come and gone,
Come and gone.
I could tell about
The Happy Brook.
But that Would
Take a Book ~ ~
Would truly
Take A Book.
And all about
The Great Pond
I Could relate
But I think
For that long tate's
Telling
None Would
Deign
To Wait.
There Were
All of
The Wildflowers
In The Spring.
Of These I choose
To Sing!
The Orchard
Was a precious
Place
Which Could
Bring
To every sorrow
It's sweet Grace;
It's "Special" Grace.
The Woods
Held for Us
More Secrets
Than One Could
Ever tell.
There All Was
Always Well,
Always Well.
Of Course, there Were
Our Own domestic
Animals ~ ~
The Horses, Pigs
And Bell, The Cow.
I Would depict
All of the happiness
and Companionship
They brought Us.
But how to Tell it All,
How?
At Wildwood Place
To entertain
Ourselves
We did so Many
Things,
Like Giving Plays,
And Dressing Up
In Costumes
That seemed
To Give Us
Wings.
The Family
And The Neighbors,
Smiling and Warm,
All Would Gather
'Round.
Love did abound
Love did abound...
Then there Was
The House Itself ~ ~
From Which No One
Long desired
To roam,
It Was the true
Center
For All Of Us,
Our Own
Home Sweet Home,
Our HOME
SWEET HOME.
"Wildwood Place"
Was The Home
Of Our Childhood.
O Wildwood,
Dear Wildwood!

EARLY MORNING
Gentle, pale pink light is
Breaking
Over hills of blue,
And Over silken Waters,
Receiving Morning dew.
Fresh, Green grasses growing
Along the lake's transparent way,
Only appear the Greener,
For its Wide expanse of Gray.
Birds flutter past. soft trilling,
And of a suddenness One
Cannot explain,
All Care Away has far ~ flown, too...
Leaving Nothing of Which
One Can Complain.
BLOSSOMING
I seem to see ~
Sprouting Up
A bright New Daffodil
Their fresheness
And their beauty
Look beyond
Compare,
As in each
Envisioned
(Flower)
I See an
Answer
To Prayer.
NOW IS THE DAY
Jesus said,
"Now Is
The Day
Of Salvation".
He did Not say,
" I Will Give You
Another Day."
This May be
The Only Chance
You Will ever
Have
To kneel before
HIM.
Give Your life
Over To HIM
And To HIM
Deeply, humbly
Pray.
The Good Shepherd
Gathers HIS Sheep
Into HIS pastures
And His Pastures
Are Green.
The Sun shines
On them
With a Golden
Sheen,.
The Weary World
Is barren.
The poison of
Sin
Is everywhere
And despite
Their Suffering
Hungry Souls,
So Many People
Do Not know of
The Glory and
The Strength
Of Prayer.
"Come Unto Me,
All Ye
Who are Weary
And heavy laden,
And I Will
Give You
Rest."
These are
The Marvelous
Words
With Which
The Dear Lord
Our Humble
Souls
Has blessed.

GOD IS HERE
God is here,
Though mist
obscures
His face.
God is here.
I shall live
by His
Grace.
"God is here",
the distant bells
proclaim
And I bow
to bless His holy
name.

EASTER
The Joyous Morning
Birds are singing
In a Pale
New Dawn.
The dews sparkle
On fresh
Emerald grasses.
Around The Cross
The lilies glow.
For Christ
Is Risen!
And All sorrow
Passes.
Lambs bleat softly
As they look
Up
Toward the radiant
Light.
A fawn stirs
And Comes Out
of the wood
As the Joyous
Morning
Emerges
From the utter
Sadness
of the Long Night.
